Mini-Assignment - Website

The Web page: http://www.videosoniclab.com/ was an awfully designed Web site that I found and I thought I would elaborate on it. There are too many colors on this site and they are too bright! They used black, white, blue, orange, yellow and green. The navigation is horrible as well, I am having a really hard time figuring out what I can click on and what I can't. There is an advertisement on the right side that was animated and really stuck out in a bad way. There is too much movement with the ad and really adds more tackiness to the site. It also took me awhile to find the title of the Web page. There are nearly 10 different types of fonts going on in this page and it looks very unconnected. From a 1-5, I give this site a 1!

Podcast Interview with Media Relations Director Bryan Johnston

This interview is with Virginia Tech Softball's Media Relations Director Bryan Johnston. In this interview, we discussed the diffculties that he has promoting a female sport, such as softball, that does not get a large fan base or media attention. I addressed questions concerning where the difficulty lies, is it the fact that these are women playing or is just softball hard to promote? We also discuss some of the ways he promotes women's sports to target families!

I was able to learn more about his job and what it entails. Through this interview I wish to inform the public more about female sports and the differences in the types media coverage that it has over a male sport. In this podcast, I included a song by Josh Woodward called "Talking about your Feelings" to help the audio to have a smoother transition. Enjoy Listening!
